Check List After Divorce

Checklist to do and review after getting a divorce.

This handy checklist can help get your personal, financial and legal documents in order after your divorce.

• Driver's License and/or Automobile Registration: Possible name and/or address changes.
• Checking/Savings Accounts and Safe Deposit box changes.
• Credit Agreements: Establish lines of credit individually, including credit cards.
• Health Insurance/Auto Insurance: Make changes as appropriate.
• Life Insurance: Review beneficiaries and benefits.
• Investments: Revise as individual.
• Retirement Plans: Revisit designated beneficiaries.
• Real Estate: Review real estate titles. (Review divorce Decree)
• Will/Trust Agreements: Update current one, or obtain one individually.
• Update all other legal documents.
